In this scene, Bertus (the future Lucebert) arrives at the entrance gate of the explosives factory in Apollensdorf (1943) and says: "It’s a paradise here. The surroundings are beautiful—woods, hills overlooking the Elbe (...) There are 200 German girls at 't Heim, and when I arrived, I was practically mobbed by them."
