Performance A Blink Of Pink in Amsterdam
A Blink of Pink is more than a solo exhibition of my recent drawings and new hand scroll at Witteveen Visual Arts, it's also the title of a song that I have sung Saturday February the 10th, together with some David Bowie Songs, especially China Girl. After a few David Bowie songs we have screened the first part of the video registration of my performance in the Black Sesame Space in Beijing. You see me nerve-racking asking for my model Pink, will she come back? It's the introduction to my song and halfway I have danced with someone from the audience. Next we have played the Bowie song Let's Dance. I sang and danced with my 'family band’: Liesbet Gevaert backing vocal, Mees Bakker trumpet and Ramon van Merkenstein electric bass. I've invited Clara de Mik (Slagerij van Kampen) to play the drums, she's very energetic! We played in gallery Vriend van Bavink because of the large space which is located next to gallery Witteveen.
