To Draw Politically

Motto:

“In your website columns you call Muslims goat fuckers, imams are called jests from Allah's sewers, you name it. Does this swearing contribute to the solution of the problem? “Why shouldn't I call a Muslim a goat fucker? Firstly, spiritual leader Khomeini himself once wrote that if the woman has her period, the man may take a goat. Secondly, on the street, Dutch women are constantly being called prostitutes by Moroccans, aren't they?”

(quoted from the interview Ad Fransen had with Theo van Gogh and republished on HP/De Site on October 28, 2009)

My 'Domela' drawing resembles a feminist manifesto with so many women on a round utopian island in the company of the socialist Nieuwenhuis (quote from the report of the project).

To Draw Politically is realised with a project grant from the Mondriaanfund (Photography John Stoel). Part of the project is a performance by Bo Kisser, represented by myself, with his song The Goatfucker, Arti et Amicitiae, Amsterdam, 2014.
